40 pilots, 3 airplanes, 65 years of flying
The Warren Flying Club was founded at the Detroit City Airport in 1956. The purpose of the club is to provide safe and economical aircraft to area pilots. We have 40 equity members who share ownership of two Cessna Skyhawks and one Cessna Skylane.
Today, the Warren Flying Club is based at the Oakland / Troy Airport (KVLL). We are a volunteer organization, managed by our members. Through the participation and dedication of our fellow owners, we remain committed to maintaining our aircraft and promoting safety in general aviation.
A tribute to Roger Paquette
In September 2018, the WFC Family lost a fellow pilot and friend when Roger Paquette passed away unexpectedly. As a dedicated champion of aircraft maintenance, Roger served our organization for years. His volunteerism sets an example for each of us, and we strive to honor his memory through the continuation of our club. A plaque in Roger's honor hangs near our Skylane as a gentle reminder of his dedication and the comfort we all gain knowing he continues to watch over the aircraft we fly.
